Important Information:

Thank you so much to all of you who came in and volunteered at Pumpkin day AND thank you to everyone who donated materials for the day. We had the best time!

Next Tuesday, the 6th, is a teacher work day so the kids won't come to school. On November 15th, we will have our Thanksgiving lunch, and you are invited:) It will be from 12:03-12:43, I am sending home a form about it today. Please send it back completed so we can give the lunchroom a good idea of how many people will be attending. Right after the lunch, the students will be putting on a fun little skit for you all! We would love for you to come and watch, it shouldn't last more than 15 min.

On November 16th, I am going to plan a Cranberry Day for the kids. We are going to read the book, Cranberry Thanksgiving, and do some fun activities with cranberries throughout the day (cranberry tastings, cranberry stem activities, etc). I will make another sign up genius link and send it out to everyone (please don't feel like you have to sign up for anything).

Thanksgiving break will be from November 19-23.

What we are learning:

Phonics: words with ear, er, ir, ur

Grammar: Contractions

Reading: Author's purpose

Math: + and - within 100 and two step word problems

Writing: Informational (All About Pumpkins)

Content: Mary Musgrove, Chief Tomochichi, James Oglethorpe

Spelling words are coming:) They will be on next week's homework and I will email them out.
